What is a Micro Niche Blog
A micro blog niche is a carefully researched and analyzed specific topic on which you will write content for your blog.
And this specific topic will be your blog’s micro niche.
By selecting a niche you must understand that you are targeting a specific audience interested in that niche.
Let’s understand it with an example,
Suppose “I want to start a blog a micro niche blog and find out that the automobile niche is a good and profitable blog.
But it’s a broad topic including everything that runs on wheels like cars, trucks, bikes, vans, etc.
So I narrow it down to cars.
Now my blog niche is car related and my audience is car-interested people.
But what if I narrow it down further, I mean there are a lot of carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Honda (by Indian market), etc.
I researched and found out that Maruti Suzuki is the most trusted and selling brand in all of the car companies in India.
So I picked Maruti Suzuki and now my micro niche for a blog is Maruti Suzuki cars.
My target audience is all the people who are interested and searching for Maruti Suzuki Cars.
Like new updates, information about a car model, new car launches, offers, etc.
And I know my targeted audience is good so I can use AdSense + affiliate marketing to generate income from this niche.
Plus, once my micro niche blog starts getting enough traffic. I can also use sponsored posts, banner ads, paid guest posts, and backlinks to earn extra money every single month.
I hope you understand what a niche and micro-niche for blogging are.”
Micro Niche Blog vs Multi Niche Blog: What’s the difference
Like the name suggests and instance from the above example, a Micro niche is a single topic-based niche but with lots of possibilities.
Like, “Maruti Suzuki cars” is a specific topic only focusing on a particular brand of cars.
On the other hand, multi niche blogs focus on multiple and broad topics.
Like, Cars, Bikes, Trucks, etc.

There are various ways to research and find profitable specific niches like,
Going board to micro which I showed in the above example. In which we can find multiple micro niches easily.
Let me show you with an example,
Go to Amazon (because it’s the best platform not only for buying things but also for micro niche research).
Enter your seed keyword, For example, I type “Home” in the search section and it’s giving me many search suggestions (most searched queries for your keyword on amazon) like,
- Home defense
- Home decor
- Home security camera
- Gym
- Essentials
- Etc…

All these can be used as micro niches for your blog…
Pro tip: Your micro niche should not be more than 2-3 keywords.
But we still don’t know, is it worth it to work on them so let’s check their search volume, competition and trend.
To make research easy for you, I am using Ahrefs free keyword generator tool, so keywords results will be limited.
Let’s check “home gym”

I only get 100 keyword ideas due to free tool limitations (so I suggest doing micro niche keyword research with any premium tool for more possibilities)
As you can see, these are low competition keywords with targeted traffic, which we can create quality content and rank easily.
You can also use Google trend to find out niche trends over the period and see if it is seasonal or evergreen.

“Home Gym” has an evergreen trend, people always search on this topic on google, So we can assume it’s really a good micro niche to start.

There are many tools free and premium to do competitor research, I suggest you use a premium because it provides more trusting data.

Example Of Domain Name :
- HTTPS://(Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
- www (the subdomain)
- Richatiwari (Domain name)
- .com (Top Level Domain).

–Use .com: After deciding name select .com on registration. It is a very popular TLD extension and used globally.
You can also choose country-specific TLD, but try to get .com on priority.
-Don’t use symbols or numbers: Make sure to not use symbols and numbers in your domain name. That only makes your name irregular.
There are also some name generators on the net that you can use to come up with some ideas.
Note: After coming up with a name make sure to check its availability domain registrar i.e GoDaddy or any domain buying site.

Step #7. Write & publish your first blog
Now it’s time to publish your first post and here’s my 3 step formula to writing SEO optimized blog posts.
1. Start with keyword Research– Before you start writing a post, make sure you are targeting the right audience with the right keywords.
You can use ubersuggest or Ahrefs free keyword tool to find micro niche keywords.
2. Study Content before Writing a Blog Post– It’s important you study and research the content that you are going to provide in your post.
But the question is how can you do it? Let me give you the best strategy for this.
My first suggestion before I start writing any post is to create a content template.
Templates are a predefined way of doing work. As a setup, all you need to do is add or change material in it.
By creating a content template, I mean crafting outlines/headings (that you will cover in the post).
After creating a template,
Then simply fill details in them one by one.
And for creating templates, you can observe your competitor’s posts. That makes your work a lot easier.
Copy their headings, but tweak them a bit, don’t just paste the same line.
Observe and study at least 3–5 competitors.
Pro tip: your main target is to create content better than your competitors. So you must add more information that they didn’t cover in their post.
Let’s me give an example of creating a template
For example, while I was searching to create a post on “Earn money by placing sponsored content on your blog”.
I studied some of my competitor’s posts that already rank in the top ranks on Google.
Then first, I created a template like this,
Title: Flyout.io- Earn money by placing sponsored content on your blog!
(Write) Introduction of sponsored content
What is sponsored content?
Your words here
Sponsored content examples
Your words here
How much does sponsored content cost, or how much you should charge
words here
Get Sponsored Content From Flyout
introduction of flyout and a step by step tutorial
How you will be Paid on Flyout
words here
Last words/conclusion
words here
Finally, your template is ready.
After successfully observing and studying my competitor’s post I understood what I need to add to the template and what they miss that I can add to my template.
Pro tip: Focus on one heading at a time and try to put every detailed information in it that you can.
Now all I need to do is fill in the blanks as we did in schools, fill every heading with deep information and detail one by one.
Step #8. Make a Content Strategy
Create a systematic strategy for your blog content writing, brainstorm and research post topics, on which consistent period you are going to publish articles in your blog.
It can be anything that suitable to you like,
- 1 post a week
- 1 in a month
Just make sure you are consistent.
To not waste time, on topics you can create a content calendar in a google spreadsheet (it’s free) along with target keywords, competitors and other details.
Here’s the content calendar for my client work,

Plus, you should also have a content promotion strategy, so that you can build backlinks and start driving initial traffic to your blog.
Don’t worry, to make your efforts easy I also mention many ways to promote a blog to get free traffic!
